Answer a few quick questions to verify that your single family household income could qualify you for a HEEHRA rebate available through TECH Clean California.

Eligible Homes, Equipment, and Income

• Eligible single family homes must be in the Central and Southern regions of California, be an existing home (not new construction), and are defined as 4 or fewer units. Qualified homes include manufactured/mobile homes, duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes, and individual condominiums.
  • The income verification process for multifamily (property containing 5 or more residential units, including those which are occupied seasonally) residential projects is different. Information on HEEHRA rebates for multifamily buildings may be found at techcleanca.com/heehra/.
• A HEEHRA rebate is available for new heat pump heating, ventilation, and conditioning (heat pump HVAC) systems in existing homes.
• California residents with single family household incomes between 80% and 150% area median income are eligible for a rebate up to $4,000.
• California residents with single family household incomes less than 80% area median income are eligible for a rebate up to $8,000.
• Household income must be verified through this portal to confirm customer eligibility for the appropriate rebate amount.
• A HEEHRA rebate is only available through a TECH Clean California-enrolled contractor who has completed the necessary HEEHRA training. To find a contractor who can help you confirm your rebate eligibility, go to http://switchison.org/contractor-finder. You can also visit the TECH HEEHRA Program page for more information.

The following is required to complete the HEEHRA income verification application:

1. Income documents for all adults in the household. Acceptable types of income documentation include:
   1. Proof of active enrollment in CalFresh (SNAP)
   2. Proof of active enrollment in Medi-Cal
   3. IRS income tax forms from 2023 or 2024 filings:
      1. W-2
      2. 1099
      3. 1040
      4. 4852 (substitute for Form W-2 using pay stubs).
